The Dairy Dream in Kampala
There’s something special about the combination of homemade yogurt, hand-churned butter, and ripe vanilla beans – especially when crafted with care and a panoramic view of Uganda’s capital city. This is where you’ll find Victoria View Farm Ltd., a small family-run business where Barbara and Gustav Gønget have built a niche production with remarkable potential. Operating under the legal name G&B Images Ltd., they produce high-quality dairy products and vanilla for the local market – and increasingly with an eye toward export.
The operation is modest but effective. With a monthly turnover of 20,000–25,000 DKK and a loyal customer base, the foundation is strong. Now, the goal is to take the dream to the next level.
Products, Potential and Passion
Barbara and Gustav have a clear sense of both quality and demand. Their feta cheese is among their best-selling products and often sells out. With new product ideas – including mozzarella and hard cheeses – as well as ambitions to expand their vanilla production to international platforms like Amazon, their aim is to build a sustainable food company with a professional reach.
But realizing that dream requires targeted investment in production equipment and capacity-building. Today, much of the work is done manually and in limited facilities – which naturally restricts growth.
A Realistic Plan for Scaling
Victoria View Farm Ltd. is seeking a total investment of 390,000 DKK, distributed across four key areas:
- Machinery: Including five combined milk coolers/pasteurizers/cheese and yogurt vats, stainless steel pans, hard cheese molds, specialized vanilla processing equipment, and essential tools.
- Certification: Approval of ten products for the Ugandan market.
- New Premises: One year’s rent for suitable production facilities.
- Working Capital: To cover raw materials and packaging for 30 days of continuous production.
The goal is to process 500 liters of milk per day – which is expected to generate up to 7,500 DKK in daily revenue with a gross profit of 5,500 DKK.
People Behind the Milk and Vanilla
Barbara and Gustav Gønget bring both heart and experience to their business. Their commitment to quality, deep market insight, and realistic growth mindset make G&B Images Ltd. a strong candidate for an investment rooted in both local impact and international potential.
With the right support, their craft can be transformed into a scalable enterprise – without compromising on quality. This is not just about cheese and vanilla. It’s about building long-term value, where development, quality, and people go hand in hand.
